Small Branches Conference

Since 1981, representatives from CPA Branches in the Commonwealth’s smallest jurisdictions have met over two days at the separate Small Branches Conference (up until October 2007 it was known as the Small Countries Conference) to consider the special issues facing them.

• The CPA was the first international organization to focus on the specific concerns of the world’s smallest jurisdictions.
•  41 CPA jurisdictions with populations of up to a ceiling of 500,000 people make up the Small Countries Group

• At different times, different Conference formats have been adopted to maximize the opportunities for debate. In recent years, the Small Countries Conference has also benefited from the input of experts from international organizations, such as the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
