Commonwealth Parliamentary Seminar

Since 1989, the CPA has organized an annual Commonwealth Parliamentary Seminar, hosted jointly with different Branches on a regional rotation, in which discussions on parliamentary practice and procedure are led by Commonwealth and local Parliamentarians and officials.

WestminsterSeminar2003In similar fashion, the Parliament of Canada started holding another annual Commonwealth Seminar in 2001. These Seminars follow the successful example of Westminster Seminar that the CPA United Kingdom Branch has hosted in since 1952 to enable Commonwealth Parliamentarians to learn how business is conducted at Westminster.
